Amstelveen has a lot to offer on cultural activities. It has beautiful productions in the Amstelveense Theater, performances at P60, look at special arts at the Cobra Museum. Amstelveen breathes culture. Music & Dance school Amstelveen, Library Amstelland, Kunstuitleen Amstelveen, Cinema Amstelveen and the Volksuniversiteit Amstelland make the culture strip at the Stadsplein compleet. 

In addition to the various cultural institutions in the Stadshart, Amstelveen houses other real pearls. A beautiful example is the Van der Togt Museum located in the old village. Definitely worth a visit. Other examples include the Amstelveen Doll Theater and the Museumtram. For the many thousands of students living in Uilenstede, Cultural Center Griffioen is the cultural hotspot. And last but not least: Amstelveen has its own city poet.
